Awful. They have no idea what they're doing. My partner received a ticket for forgetting to put his turning signal on while switching into another lane. I understand that's clearly illegal, but he received two tickets that meant the same thing. The officer was sarcastic and we waited 20 minutes while he called back up to help him figure out how to do his job. On top of that, he wrote my partners address wrong, and wasn't understanding at all. Nothing more than a bored cop that was looking for something to do to make him feel a little better at his job.
I have always respected police officers/law enforcement based off my experiences in the military, including overseas. The Schaumburg police department have earned my respect and support. I wish I was better with names, but here's a blanket Thank you for keeping our community safe. And thank you as well for being fair and compassionate to me.

I was pulled over for a small infraction and instead of a ticket, I received a necessary warning regarding eye protection while riding my motorcycle. He saw that I had eye protection with me, but forgot to put it on. They know their job and do care about helping people in general.
