1.) The diamond necklace that was sold to me had a full carat as the center stone. In the store everything was so sparkly under these super bright lights. When I got it home (and under low light) there was a serious big black carbon spot on the diamond. Completely noticeable to the human eye. I went to a different location to exchange it. And that's where we have problem number 2.
Very unethical and rude staff.. they don’t know how to treat customer and misguides customer with the return policy. I simply had to visit 3-4 times for a small return and had to wait for 40 mins and call customer care and so on.. staffs will not cooperate.think twice before visiting that store.
Wow, I bought a Vera Wang engagement ring and matching wedding band with the promise that there is a lifetime warranty. Much to my displeasure, there is an employee working at the Woodfield store who is rude and condescending. Twice I have dealt with her and have been treated like crap. Now they are telling me that without the paperwork for the bi-annual inspections, my warranties are not valid. They do not keep that information on their system? I find it hard to believe that a big company like Zales does not keep customer information on their systems for inspections and cleanings? They keep my information for marketing purposes. This company has gone down the drain ever since they were bought out by Kay, Jared etc. The Vera Wang collection is just not worth the hassle to deal with these people. Thankfully I bought my wedding band from another store instead of Zales. Saved $1,199.00 on the purchase too!
Zales = Zero!
Came in here and was immediately drawn to the unstoppable love collection. I am grateful that I found my piece and they were accommodating with the price (that's why 3 stars and not 1 star) but there was 2 big problems.
I broke two diamonds from my engagement ring, so I decide to bring it there for repair. I have lifetime warranty on this ring. When we went there, they ask me fist for some paperwork , if I do have it. Then they found me by the phone number, name and address. Anyway after all , they refuse to repair my ring under warranty, because Apparently there was a hidden catch that I have to do inspection on my ring every six months and I didn't. Also the guy who was helping me there was kind of mean asking me how I can break a diamond? Horrible experience! I will never go near Zales store again!!!!!!
I saw all the other reviews before writing and was wary, but it was a very enjoyable experience, perhaps because we already knew what we wanted for the most part.
Zero pricing breaks, Zero Customer Service & Zero concerns for the products they peddle on you.
Sloppy and quite frankly not acceptable for spending $4,000.
Cheers.
Rogers and Holland Jewelry store has much better customer service, and they gave me the sale price on my wedding band that Zales would not offer me. Zales said the store cannot offer online sales pricing. Really? Then I guess that's why I didn't buy from them!
My girlfriend found an engagement ring she liked, so we went in on a busy Saturday night to try it on and for me to get my first look. I came in with an item number ready to go, and our sales associate pulled it out quickly and was patient. I went to make a quick call and left my girlfriend with the associate and when I came back my girlfriend said our associate had turned down 4 other customers just to stick with us and finish, even when I had to rudely excuse myself. Purchased the ring after we were sure it was the one we wanted, the only thing we tried to get sold was the paid warranty, which wasn't right for us for a number of reasons, but honestly didn't seem like an unreasonable price.
2.) I went to a different location to exchange the piece and they told me Woodfield never bothered to enter my information in the system. Meaning it wasn't registered. So I'd have to bring my receipt every time I need to do a diamond clean and check. This is so risky what if I dropped the receipt on my way to the store. That means my purchase is gone---Forever!!
HORRIBLE... I will recommend you to not buy anything from Zales!
I have purchased jewelry before from a mall and they always register what piece I purchased.
